It then went on to consider what lessons we can draw from Indonesia\u2019s previous responses to militant extremism especially in the aftermath of the Bali Bombings in 2002.<\/p><p>The main argument was that if we are to counter extreme thinking and limit the conditions under which militant extremism can reproduce, charting a course between strategic threat diminishment and preventative
